Outdoor wood burning furnace?

I would love to have one. Friend of mine in the mtns had one. He'd burn anything from scrap wood, pine, etc... Since it was outside and away from his house he'd even occasionally burn some trash in it. I don't know if the manufacturer is ok with that but They burn so efficiently not much is left when You clean out the ashes

I found this old jewel in a barn a few years ago and brought it home to restore it. Never got to use it as I traded it for two sticks of DOM tubing. The owner of it now supposedly uses it a lot during the cold months.

Gave it a good cleaning and painted with high temp rustoleum.

Some older folks use these a lot around here. im not sure if they heat the house or heat their water, or both. I just don't like going outside in 0 temp weather to toss wood in or I would have one

We used one growing up. It was a Taylor. It had a water jacket. It heated the water in the tank. It also had a coil in the water tank that preheated the water prior to going to the water heater. We also had it plumbed into a coil on the heat pump and a coil and blower in the shop. So it helped out a bunch with the those expenses too. As long as your willing and able to get up wood it's a great system. It also helps if you like getting up fire wood.

My neighbor has one that he dosent use any more. Ill see how much he wants for it. I already took all of his firewood. :D

Friend of mine in TN is using one for his new house and shop that is near completion. He doesn't mind working and has a pretty much endless supply of wood due to one of his hobbies. I'm excited to see how it all works out. He had to plumb his lines about 60yds downhill to his shop from he burner, the house is just across a driveway from it. I'd love to have one at my house but it just isn't practical due to us not being there much.
