me and wife going out to outbanks for honey moon/ me taking jeep out for first time. anyone got any good places to go and see or eat

Congrats! Spent a lot of time out there enjoying my early married years.

Awful Arthurs Oyster Bar http://awfularthursobx.com/ (one of the classics, tons of others)
Beach Haven Motel http://www.beachhavenmotel.com/ (a very small, quaint, unpretentious, right on the water spot)
Jockey's Ridge http://www.jockeysridgestatepark.com/ and the kite store across the street
Manteo http://www.townofmanteo.com/ which used to be a mandatory experience before the new bridge
Anything up towards Corolla http://www.corollaguide.com/
Anything down towarda Hatteras http://www.hatterasguide.com/ and the lighthouse, but beware of Sandy damage and the NPS policies on beach access
Anything on Ocracoke http://www.ocracokevillage.com/ but may need to get there from the south (not up to date on road conditions)
If you want to rough it (unlikely given the honeymoon angle) then check out the Core Banks (maybe next trip) http://www.nps.gov/calo/index.htm

ocracoke island pizza company and howard's pub are two of my favorite's, you may want to check out the wild horses on ocracoke as well.
another cool thing to do is get a long dip net, crab jigs and a pack of chicken necks and go crabbing on the sound side of hatteras(it's cheap and fun)

will try it thanks for the ideas it are first time out there

Dinner at the Black Pelican , consider daily specials. Lunch at Sam and Omie's , crab cake sandwich or mahi salad on weekends and don't miss the clam chowder. Aquarium in Manteo is awesome. I never tire of the Wright Bros and what they accomplished at the Outer Banks. New Jennette's Pier is a great walk on water or try fishing. A ride south provides a great view when crossing the Oregon Inlet on the Bonner Bridge. Then there are the lighthouses.......

You can see the wild horses running free in Carova too, we woke up to this one morning under our house on our honeymoon. Definitely something to see.

Howard's Pub is great for a beer and a burger on Okracoke
The Blue Point in Duck has great food, great view, but it is fancy/expensive.

Those are really the only two places we ate at all the times we go, we usually cook dinners at the house we are staying at when we go.

If you are there for a long weekend or a week, try to hit up all the light houses on the outer banks.

If you are in the Ft. Fisher area, take the ferry over to Southport. A cool little fishing town, with some nice places to eat. Check out the Provision Co. for lunch, right on the water.

Depending on how soon he goes, they may still be closed for winter, but you can't beat their grouper salad! My wife and I got married on the deck overlooking the water just up from there.

yea i cant wait im just waiting on irs to give me my money they were post to do it today but guess not so hopefully trip still on

If you go to the northern beaches and find yourself in Nags Head go to Tortugas Lie . Fantastic food , at a fair price . Get there early , it stays crowded .

The crab cake sandwich at Armstrong's Seafood is the best I've ever had... They have good prices on fresh stuff, if you're staying somewhere that you plan to cook any meals.

x whatever on the light houses

Jimmy's Buffett in kitty hawk is good. A little pricey but well worth it for what you get. They close for the winter, not sure when they reopen.
