Owner died, re-title truck?

Owner died, I need to sell his truck. Anyone know the procedure? It is titled in his name.

You need to find the power of attorney on his estate. They are the only one who can sign for a deceased person.

Only person that can sell it legally is the beneficiary or the executor of the estate.

POA allows you to legally act as if you were the person granting it (limited to the powers given by the POA, of course). It dies with the person granting it. The only one that can sign/transfer it now is the administrator/executor of the estate. (Who must be named as such in the decedent's will and sworn in by the clerk of court, or if there is no will, an executor is appointed by the clerk of court.)

The notary is supposed to witness the signing.

apply for lost title?

dont they send a letter to whomever the title is addressed too and if no reply....because of death.... what happens?

You could always bond the truck to you and get a title
