I just ordered P90x as a Christmas present for myself and hope to use it daily as my New Years resolution.

I have gained 30lbs in the last couple months, and have felt more sluggish than ever...hence purchasing this on the advice of a friend currently using it.

Anyone on here doing the program or done it in the past?...Thoughs?....Input?

Thanks

i wish i had posted mine sooner, you could have taken it off my hands...it works, but it will kick your a$$. if you are out of shape, its going to be pretty hard at first, but stick with it and you'll start to see results. its so hard that it's difficult to stick with, but if you are dedicated enough you will definately see results! i wouldn't recomment eating right before you work out...at least not the first couple videos. good luck!

I'm halfway through week 7 now. I've lost like 12 lbs and am in the best shape of my life. It really kicks your butt, but it is a great workout. It is nice because you can do it with minimal equipment and you can do it easily in your living room.

I have a couple of friends that have done it, and everybody I've talked to that has done it said it really works. for me, my problem isn't LOSING weight...it's GAINING it. I can NOT gain weight to save my life. it's so bad that I'm actually close to getting kicked out of the Army for it.

Have a peanutbutter & bananna sandwich with a tall glass of whole milk before bed. You'll gain weight.

I bought it but it is hard to stick with but plan on starting over after the first of the year

also dont buy it in Craigslist I did and got a bill from beachbody for 350 and said that I needed to pay or it was going to go against my credit etc got it all worked out and they droped it but just keep that in mind. The guy as on the charlotte cl wired him the money and he shipped it we he called beachbody and ordered it under my name and they shipped it and he keeps your money.

I have used p90x and it will def. kick your ass, but it also works, but like all workouts its all about your diet

Love that program. Crossfit is for those people in this world that hate themselves. I'm completely convinced crossfiters are all insane.

Stick with P90x and if its way to hard for you let me KNow I have p90 which is the round boy version of p90x. If you havent worked out in a long time than p90 is good to get you back into shape and just follow it up with p90x.

Remember that following the diet is part of the plan too. I don't follow the plan I just cut carbs and sodas and try to eat healthy.

Good luck and take a daily picture it will motivate you to try harder and work more effectively on your workout.

You tried talking to a nutritionist yet?

not yet. I bought a huge thing of Mass XXX at GNC....huge waste of time and money. my metabolism is so high and I run so much that putting on weight is almost impossible for me right now. I'm almost afraid that when my metabolism DOES slow down I'll put on so much weight that I won't be able to move. haha.

If you are single, just get married. I've put on 40lbs since tieing the knot.

Go see a doctor.

I just started the program last week. Lost 3.5lbs in the first 7 days by changing diet, morning walks, and doing the program. Its a complete ball buster if you actually give 100%. If you are still having probs with the gaining weight I would load up on carbs/protein, skip the plyometrics, kenpo, etc and just do the back, shoulder, and arm videos. Remember load up on protein and carbs if you want to gain.

any updates from the op?

I went through almost all of the program and really enjoyed it. It was tough at times to want to finish out the workouts. I think it is a great product. However I have since switched to other weight lifting and cardio workouts now that I have access to a nice gym. I lost roughly 15 lbs from start of program to end of 4 months when I stopped.

cool, was that with following the diet program too, or kinda following it. I ask cause that's prolly how it would go for me if I tried it. And did it tone your muscles like how they show on tv? cause thats the only thing Im looking for, don't really want to gain any more muscle or just loose weight.
