SFWDA is looking at options for support for our membership database and event registration. Our current hosting service, for which we have not been paying anything, wants us off their site.
The existing site is Linux-based, written in PHP with a MySQL database back end. Some specific upgrades are required, plus each of the major SFWDA events (Trailfest and Dixie Run) require unique registration form setup for each event, and integration with Paypal. The whole system would need to be rehosted somewhere else.
SFWDA is looking for someone who would be interested in taking a look at the PHP code and supporting it, as a paid job, like a consultant?
If someone in your club is interested, please have them contact me either at this email address (alabamatoy@gmail.com) or phone 256-509-5919 to discuss.
I can provide the code base, a scope of work and other details to help someone decide how much effort it would take and whether or not they want to take it on. The SFWDA BoD would consider the offer and decide whether or not they want to pay for the service.
