Paint and body Question

I know nothing about paint and body so I'm not even sure this is possible. But i picked up a willys cj5 with like a primer og green over the original green paint. Is there anyway to get it off any back to the original paint with out going past the original paint? ?

Oh well.. it'll still serve as a good beach cruiser.

You "might" get a lot of it off with soda blasting, or similar, but i'd be very touchy, & expensive. Just not worth it.

What year is that one?

I have not seen one with the older style hood and a windshield with wipers mounted below the glass. Unless someone swapped a later model windshield on.

Serial number dates it to 57
