Im just now getting into the hobby. was at Command Decision in hickory a few weeks ago. and we had a trip planned for tomorrow, but i think we are getting rained out.

Anyone else play?

yes

Need to talk to grandlift. He has a cool paint ball field he plays in. About 3 acres of paths and hiding places.

Yea ive played for about 14 years but mostly speedball and tournaments. You should really check into CD's Fulda Gap Scenario Game. Think they had over 1000 players this past year.

Used to play on a tournament speedball team back when i was in school, played frontman....spent a LOT of money and a LOT of time playing and practicing....went to the state tournament a couple times

I used to play all the time. Was on a tournament team for a while, and played in a few tourneys in GA, AL, NC and FL.

I played mostly stock class (pump guns, single shot with 10-round tubes instead of hoppers), but I had a few paint wasters to use when I got lazy. It was tons of fun, either way.

Yeah, i was reading about the Fulda Gap games. that seems like a lot of fun.
Im not too interested in speed ball, but scenerio/woods play is right up my alley.

whats the rules on organizing a game or two in URE one weekend?

I play and was always interested in scenario/woods style games and comps but never went to any but me and some friends are able to get together every once in a while and play usually about 10 people always wanting new places and people to hang with.

:uzi::handed::sniper:Tons of fun and addrenilin! I have'nt done it in years but had alot of fun when i did. My fav. scen. was "take the old farmhouse". 2 or more would be IN the old house that had all the doors and window frames removed, and the others would approach and try to get them out. The old house had thick brush and tall pasture grown up all around. Paintballs hurt like hell/ injure at closer ranges and the pain makes you instinctly react in the heat of it, not wanting to be hit again! You get caught up in the action and It's almost like actually being pursued and or shot at w a real gun!!!!! We repeated the game w teams changing positions and it's all fun until you gun jams w a busted ball or 2 in the barrel..................:uzi::eek::sniper:

one of the last tournaments I played in. You can tell this was at least a few years ago, cause I still had some hair.

This is the pump cocker I built. Could run on CO2 or compressed air, with a 10rnd tube or a 50rnd hopper, depending on the tournament

I used to play a ton 5+ years ago. I still have my old "shoebox" shocker sitting in the garage collecting dust. I played and worked at Paintball Atlanta at their indoor/speedball location way back when. I dabbled in a few tournaments as well. I worked for paint/air and played for free every Fri/Sat/Sun. I think I played every weekend for 6+ months at one point:lol:
I had a blast and wish I had kept playing.
I always laugh though because my hobbies keep on getting more and more expensive. It's crazy how much I spent for that Shocker compared to what you can get for the money today.

^i totally agree, i seem to recall our other frontman buying a shocker when they came out for over 1000 and i just seen one on craigslist for 100 last week....thought i was going to fall out of my chair. I had well over 1500 in my autococker...fbm custom body etc etc etc
