Ok, I wanted to share a POSITIVE story with you all. It happened this weekend at the Rockvember Event...sort of.

We(wife, daughter, myself) were invited to the VIP dinner friday night. It was at another location and was for all of the sponsors and Rick Hendrick folks. Great meal, by the way.
I was lucky enough to know a few folks and recieved the envite also.(Thanks Greg)

Anyway, while we were therE, enjoying the fire, food and friends
Chris Cagle(Outpost owner and good friend of mine) was talking to my daughter(she's almost 5) somehow the subject of pancakes come up. Maycee loves pancakes and told chris just that. Chris responded with ''One of these days, I will cook some pancakes especially for you!'' Her eyes lit up and I could tell that this was going to be something she would keep in the back of her mind with her elephant like memory.

I told Chris( in a joking manner) That she would not forget what he told her, and that she would ask everytime she saw him, about the pancakes.<----this is true...ask me how I know. She never forgets any promises made to her..lol

Well...the dinner rolled on. Friends were made and food was devoured. After saying our goodbys we headed back to camp.
Brooke and Maycee headed to bed, and I went night wheeling with the crew.

Saturday morning came very early. I was just starting to wake up a little and was contemplating wheather or not to start up the van for some heat(thats where we slept) when all of a sudden....someone was knocking on the van door.

I opened the door at 6:30 and there stood Chris Cagle with a to-go box full of pancakes and bacon..along with hot chocolate!!! And with a BIG OLE smile, He said '' I brought Maycee her pancakes ''

I was like....?? No way, are you kidding me? Sure enough...some big fluffy pancakes, bacon, syrup...the works.

I cant express enough, what a cool, awsome, thoughtful, heart warming, delicous surprise this was. They dont even offer pancakes on the menue at the Outpost!

These were pancakes made especially for Maycee!!

Just wanted to share a positive story about a very cool friend of mine and my family's.

Chris, If you read this...Thanks again! That meant the world to us.

To everyone else....next time your at the Outpost and see Chris, just remember this story. You are looking at an awsome fellow with a coolness rating of a million in my families eyes!

Thanks for reading!

Ha, I hear ya man, props to Chris that was pretty cool of him :driver:

THAT is freaking awesome. Big time props to Chris for what he, and all his crew at the Outpost, does for us.

I like Chris Cagle's music, didn't know he was up at Uwharrie!

Awesome! Maycee is such a sweet kid.

cool man. i bet that made her weekend.
Yep. She even rode in a monster truck, but all she has talked about was Chris and the pancakes.

Maycee :'' Hey Nana!...Chris from the Post office made me pancakes in the van''

Nana : :confused:Chris from where, did what?

Funny, she calles the Outpost, the post office:lol:

awesome story, though totally unsurprising.

Chris is an outstanding individual. He always goes the extra mile from helping to match a broken Rover with a Rover Club (remember that) to making everyone feel like family while at the outpost.
