I would like to thank everyone that rode in the Mocksville Cristmas parade today. The weather was great and the crowd was huge! I had a great time and hope you guys did.
We did have a couple of casualties as we lost a couple of riders right from the start. Due to timing (eating at sagebrush slowed us up a bit) we were running behind and somehow got seperated from Joel and Silas. Unfortunately they missed the parade...sorry guys!
The parade started off great with Santa Clause walking right past our jeeps and the childrens float. This really helped reinforce my ''Santa is watching you'' style of parenting with my soon to be 3 yr old daughter!......Thanks Santa!!
The line up had to be quite a site for most of the towns folks.
I could tell by the roar of the crowd that someone was tire stacking up ahead of me, and sure enough big woody and Chad were playing 'jeep twister' right in the middle of town.
The roar of the crowd was soon drowned out by the ROAR of chads 100000hp,5million decibel ,crowd scattering, MEGA JEEP! Bigwoody was sounding good too!
While the rest of us were just ridin' lookin' sweet, tossing tons of candy, those two put on the show. Thanks guys.
Thanks to Jeffb and his daughter, old jeeps and his grand daughter, Chad Mackey and his better half Shellyand there rider Josey, Jason and Erica Lackey and their son Daniel, Rodney Eppes, Terry Moorfield and his Better half(understatement).and bigwoody.
Also thanks to Jeff Miller, of Davie Const. for pulling the float.
And a special thanks to my mom, for riding in my jeep without screaming. And for throwing out my 10lbs of candy, before we got half way through the route.Love ya!
With 9 4x4s and around 30 people, I think we made a heckuva
showing. Thanks one more time for coming to Mocksville and riding with us!
I will try to post a few pics tomarrow. Post em' if ya gottem'
