The little town of Glen Alpine(near Morganton) is having a parade at 10 am Monday morning, Anyone interested? I think I will go out and throw some candy

Also one in Marion(near The FLats) at 6pm, waiting on details for that one.

Faith, NC (outside of Salisbury) used to have one of the largest and most celebrated in the state, but the last couple years, you can definitely tell there have been budget cuts...still a decent parade though.

Marion parade line up at 5-5:30, begins at 6, line up at Asheville savings bank.
Anyone on an ATV has to wear a helmet, and they ask that they be decorated.

Well, one parade down, two more to go. The community parade out the road is at 3, and then Marion parade at 6

My son Josh, (yotakid) and my daughter driving his TJ went to the parade. Josh and I did the tire stacking, lol was funny, when we did it the street filled with picture takers. Not difficult to impress some folks.

Well I was surprised at how big the Glen Alpine parade was. Probably a mile and a half worth of entires. No band in the procession, so my Stereo was the Band! Leslie downloaded me a bunch of parade, patriotic type tunes! LOL I had fun, saw a lot of folks in the crowd that I knew

The Marion parade was pretty big, but, it was one of the quietest parades I have ever witnessed. To be honest, BORING!
The city of Marion did not allow the fire trucks and so on to hit any sirens! only lights
They did not allow you to throw out candy! WTF That's ALWAYS been a part of any parade I have ever been to or in.
Josh and I did some tire stacking. At first, I couldn't crawl his tire, tried a couple times and nothing. Then, I noticed My front axle wasn't engaged LOL Oh well, kinda embarrassing.

I could have done the Old Fort parade, and wished I had. Last time in the Marion parade for us.

All in all a busy day
