Got a hf parts washer a while back and never put it together until the other day. It's a 20 gallons washer. Is diesel fuel ok to use in it? If not what should I use.
My local has station carries it. Drive to Maiden if that's the only place in nc that sells it!Where do I find clear kerosene? Isn't the stuff they sell at has stations red?
I used Mineral spirits until it went to $8 a gallon.Jodi had a thread about this a while back maybe he'll chime in and tell us what he went with.
That made me remember a guy I know who sells oil also and I gave him a call. He's suppose to be getting back to me w a price on 20 gals on mineral spirits. We'll see.I ended up buying parts washer solvent from my local bulk motor oil distributor.
Works great, no smell and wasn't too expensive.
That's stuff even soaks thru a pair nitrile gloves, your hands will be dry but the smell is there.X2 on the parts washer solvent it works better and the reside does not smell as bad until it's ready to change.
BTW lots of gear oil soaked parts and dirty solvent smells like ass!
