Im wondering if there is a combination of some kind that will bolt a passenger drop T case to a Ford NP435 without the expensive adapter kits. Anyone have any ideas?

What kind of vehicle? If you have room for a np205 I think you could get a 32 spline input Chevy 205 from behind a turbo 400, install a ford 205 input in the Chevy case and redrill the bolt pattern to attach it to the trans. You'd still have to buy a ford input shaft for a couple hundred or come up with another case to get parts from so you'd spend money anyway.

Advance adapter sells a ford 31 spline input for a Dana 300 if you need a smaller case its about $200 also. You would need to drill and tap holes to mount it to a transmission as well.

However it would probably be easier to buy the adapter from someone or figure out a different transmission option.

That's pretty much what I'm thinking. 32 spline (kinda rare?) Chevy NP205 with a Ford 31spl NP205 input gear. Or Chevy NP208 with the round bolt pattern, but with a Ford 208 input gear. Only trick to the Chevy 208 is making sure that the Chevy round pattern clocks correctly (or can be redrilled) to match the Ford pattern. The Ford pattern is six bolts, and I think they're equally-spaced, two on top, one on each side at 3:00 and 9:00, and two on the bottom. I don't remember where the Chevy bolts are.

Or do a doubler, but that's fairly expensive.

I have a Ford NP205 and a couple of Dana 300's to work with. I think I may have found a Chevy NP205 that I need to go look at. I am going to make a cardboard template off of the tail of the transmission to take with me to check bolt pattern. I'm going to run this mess in a YJ with a 4BT. (yes I am still trying to figure out how to do this without breaking the bank....) It may actually be cheaper and significantly easier to buy the kit.

The one nice thing about the 205 case (assuming it's the round pattern) is that you should be able to drill and tap the bolt holes wherever you need them.

If it is a 10 or 27 spline chevy 205 you will have to bore the input shaft hole bigger to accept the 32 spline female input shaft.Round pattern chevy 205's are HARD to find, around here anyway, and will bring $350/$400.The best option usin stock parts will be the Ford 205 input in a chevy round pattern case.I have several 31 spline inputs that I'd sell or trade for a 32 spline shaft.
