Patrick's new buggy.

Looks great Patrick, now explain to me how you got your wife to aprove the financing so I can start to build one of these, looks awesome, if I ever get enough money for one I hope it looks half as good as yours, who did all the tube work? Thanks
Brad

wife is awesome with it, a lot of the parts and cash were grandfathered in from my jeep and last buggy. jim did all the work.

ballpark how much would a tube chassis like yours cost to build, thanks

I wanna know how many feet of tube you got in that thing? it looks awesome!

Chassis is $2800+

Set up drivetrain $500+ (+cost of motor, trans, t-case, axles)
Set up links $1400+ (+link material, joints, bolts, airshocks or co's)

Everthing else that needs to be welded on/set up before taking it all apart (floor, firewall, pedals, shifters, fuel cell, battery, radiator, fans, coolers, steering, roof/side/windsheild tabs, hood/cowl/grill mounting, winch, rear winch, limit straps, seats, seatbelts, lights, etc, etc, etc.)$3000++++ (+parts)

Taking it apart (you don't want to skip this) $100

Putting it all back together (wiring, plumbing, all the other little details) 2500+ (+parts)

If you budget your parts right you might get into one for 25K The little stuff adds up alot faster than most people imagine.

damn jim, the chassis are really lookin good. Got me thinking i may look to you next time i build a new ride.

Pics of this thing in action? I know someone had a camera.

Because we are all too lazy to build our own junk now. :flipoff2:

Good looking buggy.

I hate mud but my user has mud i it. Guess it is becuse most of us started out in the mud.

I still think its funny ya'll are called the mud devils, you all hate mud :shaking:
I think I should change my name from Beast inc to Rock Devil's since I like the mud :flipoff2:
:
We've discussed changing it several times but it's out there now. You may still have time to change yours, but I sorta like BEA STINC....lol:flipoff2:

I watched this build on pirate, very nice.

Did you get a chance to play with the rear steer at all? Is that where the kinks are showing up? Saw that you changed routes and moved everything to the other side...looked like everything cleared though.

In the rear, the arms hit the airshocks when one is compressed all the way, need to notch them some more. Tierod hit the brake rotor when turned all the way to the right, got to make a new one anyway.

On the front, the tierod hits the links at full steer/droop, and rubs on the front pinion yoke.

Dude.....Sweet....

how much up travel?

Sweet....Dude....
