Dylan - have you looked at expanding your market? I do a lot of floor prep, skimming, patching and stuff for all of the Raleigh commercial guys, they are all busy. have you done work for Bonitz Flooring or Brock Contract Services, they both use independant installers, I can dig up a few contacts in the Charlotte, GSO area if it helps.
I would highly recommend reading a book called Guerrilla Marketing by Jay Conrad Levinson. You can get it at your local library (free).
