Payment Chat Bots?

Y'all encountered these things yet? Apparently it's the way of the future.

I went to renew a vehicle registration, and instead of the old form where you enter plate, title, payment, done, now it's this weird AI conversational experience that takes way too long, wants you to create an account, wants to store payment information, and then at the end wants to charge $3 for a "convenience fee."

Screw that noise, gonna go dust off the old checkbook and find out what a stamp costs.

Yeah just renewed plates online and that was weird.

Went thru that a couple weeks ago. First thought it was a fraudulent site. Manually typed in the ncdot.gov/dmv and navigated thru and got the same crap.
