today i got two different emails from paypal and paypal team.
both looked real and one was trying to get me to go to the resolution center and type in my password and the second was trying to get me to raise my limit.
well first of all i keep tabs on everything i buy and sell so i knew there were no resolutions to be settled because i always make sure any deals went good and everyone was happy and second my limits were raised a long time ago . so instead of typing in my password , i closed out of the email and went straight to paypal website. there i found everything to be normal . so i reported them to the fraud paypal center. and sure enough , i was right.
i nearly got cleaned out by some real good dumbass thieves. so be careful when you get anything from paypal dont type in your password. always go straight to the paypal website first and type it in there. damn thieves

on paypals terms, they claim they will never send an email asking a user to 'log-in' to their account. Be careful, if you get an email from said paypal asking you to login to your account, its fraud. Ive got stung once myself, luckily I caught it in time and changed my password before some 14 year old asian stole my booty.

don't fall for these dumb scams......You have to think Why would Ebay or any of the other websites you have an account with ask you for your password or any other personnel info? They already have it!

exactly. both emails were fake. i knew it when i opened them up.

One quick way to check, is to carefully examine the root domain in the link. If the link they provide dosn't have an address wisible in it (rather says "click herE" or something), just put you mouse over the link and look att he address taht appears on the bottom of you screen. If it dosn't start with "http://www.paypal.com" or "http://paypal.com" or similar, don't even bother clicking it.

Sometimes they are really sneaky and the address will be "http://www.paypal/com" or similar. Gotta give them credit for trying hard at least.

I've gottent he same spoof emails with paypal and some interesting ones from ebay like I need to pay for an item I purchase then they offer me a link to a resolution center. Like you did, the best thing to to is to close the email and go directly to paypal.com or ebay.com or whatever and log in and check your account. Then report the email.

You have only gotten 2? I get them several times a week from ebay and paypal. My wife gets them on her email, and it's not even been on ebay or payapl in over a year.

just got another one. this just started yesterday. its a bunch of bs.
