Update:

Looks like "at least" 20 inches of clearance at the skid plate.
This is with 31 inch tires. Building for 37's.

Chassis will be 51-52 inches wide at the door tubes.
Runs 64 - 65 inches tall at highest point. With 31's.

Divorce transmission was a terrible idea. Scratched it.

Propane tank is killin me!!!! Gotta have it.
Looks like it will be mounted behind the big block motor.

Was messing around with my $100 welder this morning. Should be good when I get some weld time.

I think I need to find some decent flux core wire. I'm sure this harbor freight wire is the lowest quality wire there is.

Anybody know of some good quality flux core wire?

So as of today, it looks like a 95% chance that this Fisher Price tools and agravation bull shit will be put on the back burner. Hopefully its time to do some real off-road fabrication. I'll keep you posted.

.... been using my HF(reconditioned) welder for almost 4 years now, welds aren't the prettiest, but it gets good penetration. Ive yet to have one fail on me, but I always over build too. I'd love to have a nicer gas welder though... Nice patterns, cant wait to see more of this build

My shop situation has changed for the better. Assuming everything pans out, this build is postponed until further notice. Still trying to make an effort to get on the trail. Just rolled this pile into the garage last night. I've got 2 months to solid axle this party wagon and make it trail worthy. Might start a build thread soon.
