My wife called me Pepe Le Pew yesterday. She says I need to try a new deodorant. This time of year is bad, because I begin to sweat instantly when I go outside. I can soak a shirt in no time. What deodorant or antiperspirant do you use?

It's just a fact. Sweat stinks in great volumes. I personally wouldn't change.
As a kid I was very sensitive to the stuff.
I also have relatives who sold Avon products.

Given the chance I'd go back to them.

Currently use Old Spice Bearglove stuff from the Wal-Mart.

Never been a fan of anything that attempts to stop sweating all together. I sweat soak garmets so the pits are just an adding factor.

American Provenance makes some fancy organic stuff I use occasionally if I break out. Whole other texture. Shotguns and Shenanigans is my favorite followed by Firepits and Flannels.......my wife really likes these just before.......

Degree 48H antiperspirant

I use Degree spray when I wear it. It's the only thing I've found that won't eat the skin out of my armpits.

I just sweat all over so out really doesn't matter to me. But would it stop my hands from sweating in gloves? Or feet from sweating in shoes?

I use degree 48h stick. I still sweat, no complaints of stench, so it must do something. I'm a mechanic at a non air conditioned shop BTW so it gets a workout.

If you work outside or in a hot place a lot, i highly recommend getting some polyester/ synthetic material wicking shirts. Makes all the difference in the world. Youll still sweat, but it dosnt get trapped on your body and get so funky and uncomfortable.

Also, if im anywhere i have to look halfway decent and need a collared shirt or otherwise, i personally always wear a tshirt under it. Its so that, especially this time of year, the tshirt is sacrificial and absirbs the sweat funk, but others aren't expised to it bleeding through my outer layer.

Another tip - if your pits stink, consider looking at what the ingredients of your deodorant are. For some men, certain chemicals interact and get extra stinky. I found anything w aluminum is bad juju for me. I used to get bad pit stsins in my shirts, but after i tried a few things and eliminated AL they went away.

Degree 48hr anti-perspirant/deodorant. They white solid like cool rush or something like that.

Only thing I’ve found that doesn’t burn the crap out of my pits, and can make it to 5pm without smelling like week old onions in the sun.

Tried some others a while back that also left stains in my shirts that wouldn’t wash out easily.

I just walk around smelling like raunchy onions. People can deal with it.

When I do wear it, it's old spice.

I use right guard w the “sport” scent. Its the white solid type and not the gel style. The gel style breaks me out.

I'm a Kelly too and I think it's just something in our DNA. I sweat more, faster, and easier than anyone else I've ever met.

The quick dry shirts help to evaporate the sweat faster, but for me they actually stink sooner and worse.

My wife buys me some hippy dippy non antiperspirant deodorant, and it's ok, but I keep some Degree Cool Rush 48hr Antiperspirant in my gym bag, and I like it better than most everything else I've tried through the years. It slows the sweating a little on my pits anyway, and prevents me from being too stinky at the end of the day.

must be something to that.. maybe because we're originally from more northern climates.. supposed to be kept cool. I guess.

Love cold weather, don't mind the heat so much as I hate sweating in it. I need to move back to the northern UK.

Reed here. Dated back to Holland and Sweden. Above 60 degrees may as well be hell to us.

Wow, lol. My mom's maiden name is Kelly. You might be on to something.

Chemistry is huge! It can even come down to what you eat or drink. I also use the 48hr and it holds me over for about a 12 hr period here in southwest Louisiana. I’ve noticed the more hydrated I am I sweat more but it stinks less.

This...work makes and R&D’s a lot of deodorants...and similar to perfumes and colognes, you can put the exact same formula on two different people and it’ll react two totally different ways, and can change with the same person from day to day due to a number of variables. I went the whole Mitchum/Rx/Degree route in high school for stink and sweating...none of it worked. Finally just started working my way up and down the deodorant aisle and tried everything. Old Spice Swagger finally did it for me...a little fuckboi-ish, but I stay pretty dry and usually smell good all day, and the wife likes it.

Exactly what I use

Didn’t read everything so this may have been said. I have what is called Hyperhydrosis, don’t talk about it much cause it’s terribly embarrassing but I will share if help someone. For over 10 years now I would sweat thru a shirt in minutes, not even hot. My arm pits would just sweat for no reason at all. Any stressful situation was 10 times worse. In Vegas it was chili one night and I went to a fancy dinner with a huge client and sweat thru my blazer, no lie. It limited what color shirts I bought/wore and always made me insecure. About 3 months ago I decided to try this stuff and it changed my life.

Carpe Underarm Antiperspirant and Deodorant, Clinical strength with all-natural eucalyptus scent, Manage hyperhidrosis and combat excessive sweating without irritation, Stay fresh and dry all day long https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07GY241Q3/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_gWluDbS5MYRFV

No lie, previous to this I had tried EVERY SINGLE deodorant/antiperspirant you can imagine. Prescription, super strength, you name it. I even went to a consultation where they would treat it with Botox injections in to the sweat glands but it was $500 and not guaranteed and would have to be done again in 6 months. I’d given up and had learned to live with until I tried the Carpe stuff.

I’m telling you man, it changed my life entirely.

So do you put it on your entire body?

Nah just arm pits. But same folks make it for hands and feet too. I put that on at night after I shower, and then use in conjunction with regular deodorant. That way I still smell fresh

My pits get irritated w about any scented deodorant.I'm lucky to not stink too bad, don't know why but I never needed or used much deodorants for decades working outdoors surveying.I did bring or had 3 t shirts in the truck, in the summer. I'd change out the sweat soaked shirt @ lunch and put the 3rd one on before driving home. Putting a dry, clean shirt on is refreshing when the one your wearing is like a hot wet blanket and i'd stay cooler/dryer in the heat for another hour or more hours. These days I'm working w customer service indoors and I use non scented deodorant made for deer hunting. It does not irritate and it cuts down most of any stink I may have all day long.
