Few months ago I had to put down my best friend. My puppy girl.
Her name was Woodles Doodles She was turn 16.

Since then I have been thinking of getting a new pup.
I have been leaning towards a Blue Heeler
Few reason they are smart, very protective, and size.
I can not seam to find one that is in my price range.
Does any one on NC4x4 breed them or know someone that does?

look into blue heeler rescue.
google it. i bet you can find a good one close.

good luck.one of my best dogs was a blue heeler.
only problem we had was she only lived 10 years.

oh and a good bunch of people to deal with are.
"howlin for sprit dog rescue"
my last 3 rescues came from them.
she has some beautifull foxhounds right now
and 25-30 others ready to be adopted.

I'll second the suggestion to rescue. I transported a blue heeler, from a rescue in Greensboro, who was to be adopted up in Maryland somewhere. Seem like great dogs. :)

A good place to search is petfinder.org. It searches location, breed and other factors.

I remember seeing someone on my facebook recently that had a red heeler pup for sale, I'll have to see if I can find them.
They are great dogs, although my brother's can't control her "licker".

Australian Shepherds are also great dogs! Some friends have one who herds trail rigs! ;)

i'm glad your finding lots of leads for a new dog.

keep looking- sometimes we find our dog and sometimes our dog finds us.
