I had a subscription to that magazine for many years. I let it run out a few years ago. Today i got an offer letter in the mail to sign up 1 yr for $15, or 3 yrs for $20. Anyone on here still subscribe?

I went paperless. I just watch the UA episodes on YouTube and don't feel as though I'm missing out on much else.

I dropped my subscription years ago. With games, the book of faces, and nc4x4 on my phone, I don't need a pile of magazines in the bathroom anymore.

I let every 4x4 related magazine expire except for Crawl years ago. Recently got an offer for Four Wheeler for 5 years for $24 (something like that) so I re upped. I would say I get about 10 minutes distraction out of each Magazine. They just cannot compete with today's media.

Had it for years and let it expire probably 6 years ago. Just the same thing in it year after year. I don't need to see how to install a 4" lift on a JK in your driveway in a weekend again, I search and read in depth about different subjects online now.

I subscribe to Petersen's, four wheeler, hot rod, car craft, and diesel power. I've been getting Petersen's since I was 11 (1991). I'm probably dropping four wheeler and diesel power next go round because four wheeler is basically the same articles as Petersen's a month or two later, and diesel power is basically a thick paper commercial now, with very few tech articles anymore, mostly we're gonna stick a tuner on this truck and see if it makes more power. They used to do multi page write-ups on how injection pumps work or how to pick a turbo, now it's just an "article" saying company (x) who's paid us has the best turbos so throw them your money.

Hot rod and car craft are different enough that I still like getting both. I still like to pick up a magazine or book to read rather than stare at a screen all the time.

Used to get Four Wheeler. But it go repetitive and with this site and a Google degree just seconds away I see no need for the mags anymore.

Only value I see to paper mags these days is something to thumb through on the toilet, instead of your phone.
You can get all the same stuff online either free or for a cheaper subscription. And it's basically archived forever instead of digging through a stack of mags.

Maybe if you have a shop and want to leave reading material for people in the outer waiting room.

I would somewhat disagree with the last part. There are a few issues /writeups from crawl and other 4wd mags that are a pain or impossible to get online.

BUT you can find similar writeups online by someone else. If it's been done and worked, it's been done more than once

I havent had a sub or bought a mag in years,no need to,all the 20 somethins that come by the shop to get parts keep me up to speed on what theyve saw in the mags.

I get Hot Rod (every issue since 01/84), Car Craft, 4-Wheel, Four Wheeler, Street Rodder (rod & custom died, they rolled me over), & Road Track.

I have loved the printed page (I read books, too) since my Grandmother bought me the subscription to Hot Rod way back in '84.

I plan on handing down the Hot Rod collection down to my son, when the idea of magazines have become a thing of the past.

Easier to read on the throne, camping, etc....

What was the question? Lol

I let the subscriptions run out years ago, don't really miss them. I probably got the same offer letter in the mail (free clock?) a few days ago, tossed it in the trash. Funny thing is, I already have that clock in my garage.

I let mine run out years ago. really enjoyed Peterson's though. I have tons of boxes of old ones, as I don't throw any away. tried to find out how to send the old mags off to troops over seas, but never got much help. I got the same postcard this weekend to. 3 years for $20 and a free wall clock. hahahaha. like everybody says computer is much easier to look thru than old mags.

Maybe but I stare at a computer screen all day so I need a break once in a while (typing this on my home computer for the fail).
