So Peyton officially gets released from the colts today. Where's he going to go? Should the 'phins go after him or Flynn? Do the broncos give up on Tebow? What do you guys think?

I thought they would have saved him and traded for a first round pick. He wasn't a free agent was he?

I dont think he will go to miami, they just got a new o' cordinator, so they dont need manning, Maybe Arizona??

I think he best bet financially would be Washington. Although seeing Manning is gold and burgundy wouldn't be a pretty sight. The card would be cool because of Fitz, but I don't think Arizona has the money Manning wants/deserves.
Seattle might happen......

I would like to see him as a Cardinal or a Jet...but I don't think the jets are interested.

If he wasn't cut by 5:00pm today he as due $32 million as a roster bonus. He had to be cut.

I am 100% a Manning fan but after not playing last year and his future being muddy I dont think he deserves as much as he wants

thought he was heading to the Jet? ' Course the Raiders would always "wheel him" true to the Al Davis approach...

He's said publicly he was fine with restructuring his contract to what value he is currently worth. If the Colts wouldn't have treated this season as a 4 year old with a temper tantrum everything could have been fine. Instead they sack almost their entire team and cut the face of their franchise. I think he would have been fine playing for much less. I've never liked the Colts, mostly because it was obvious that the only reason they were ever good was simply because of Manning. They let that team decay because of their star QB. Mismanagement from every angle, and Peyton should be happy he's getting out now, its going to be a DISASTER for the next few years, and invariably, whichever QB they draft this year will not be their guy 5 years from now.

I don't think he will go to the Dolphins. I think they'll get Matt Flynn. Makes more sense for them, because they need to set up for the future, not the now. Redskins are too weak all over to really need him as well. They have old dusty receivers, running backs made of glass, and a coach who still thinks it wasn't John Elway who won him those Super Bowls.

Seahawks are probably one of the best fits I think. I don't care for Pete Carroll, but he's been doing quite a lot with a mediocre quarterback. They have great young receivers, and Marshawn Lynch is the single most underrated running back in the league. I think Arizona is another big landing spot. Manning/Fitz would be fantastic. One that hasn't been mentioned too much, the Kansas City Chiefs. If you think Kyle Orton or Matt Cassel are franchise QB's, you need to reevaluate yourself as a football fan. Manning would be a HUGE splash there. That team is on the verge of becoming a nightmare. They have Bowe, they have Charles, they have a solid O line and a pretty nasty defense. They just lack that spark at QB. AND if Manning brings Reggie Wayne with him...wow.

Then there is always the Jets who I believe are ready to admit Sanchez is not their man. Plus they always like being in the limelight, and really need to be in it for the RIGHT reasons, rather than the wrong. BUT, I don't think Manning will want to go there. No way he'd want to play in the same building as little brother. It just wouldn't be fair to Eli.

There are some talks about the 49ers, but I think they are very comfortable with Alex Smith. I wouldn't see them moving on Manning.

He should just retire and save what is left of his body. I know there is alot of money to be made but I surely don't want to be a broken down old guy like most of them are.

He dosn't want anything. He has been promised and contractually due something. Let's take a trip back in history.... It's 2008 the Colts can't re-sign their stars and stay under the cap. Peyton takes a 75% pay cut in exchange for some upfront money and a promise down the road. Now that is time to pay up they just cut him. This is what makes the NFL such a raw deal, compared to other athletes/entertainers. He was injured ON THE JOB and his work can cut him without recourse or repayment ANND they do not have to honor their committment to him, however he cannot seek other employment at his will.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not crying for #18, he has millions to sleep on. But from a purely business ethics standpoint..NFL players get the raw end of the deal.

And fwiw, I HATE Manning and Indy.

But if he cant play he isn't worth very much.

i don't think the jets want him....didn't they sink all of their money into sanchez? I don't think Manning wants to play in seattle...
I think he should go to the cards.... like mentioned before, maybe him and fitz can make a dynamic duo like him and reggie wayne.....

Also, the redskins are probably too far away from getting him another super bowl win...even with Helu, who is a beast...might turn out to be a CJ2K this season.

agreed Cherokeekid, i think Arizona would be better playing conditions for him. I reckon we will all have to wait and see.

Texans I hope, that team could start a dynasty with Peyton at the helm, plus they would play the colts twice a year (afc south) and he could put it on them, since they are screwing the man that put them on the map. 14yrs and missed post season 3 times 1st rookie year and 3rd he did not even play. Plus Reggie wayne is waiting to see were he goes so he can go also if it's possible.

Looks like he's meeting with the Broncos today, and the Jets are officially out of the race. The Chiefs have expressed interest, and he has meetings with Miami and Arizona next week.

Come on Broncos. Lets get rid of that no talent Tebow and get a real Quarterback.

Joe Theisman who?????

He said he will only sign with a team that he meets with, so far that is Denver, AZ, and should be Miami today. The Titans are now calling out for a meeting publicly, we'll see if Manning takes them up on it.

I'm a huge Manning/Colts fan. IE- Signed helmet, Jersey, flies up to Indy for front row behind Colts bench fan. So I've been trying to pay pretty close attention to the situation. Personally, if he wants to win Super Bowls, I think Houston is the best fit. They are a team who is getting better and better every year. Top defense (one of) in the NFL last year and got to the playoffs with a rookie QB. Sign Wayne and have one of the best WR combo's in the league, then sign Dallas Clark and have a pair of TEs like New England (Daniels and Clark). Plus you have Ben Tate and Foster running the ball.

Houston
QB: Peyton Manning
WR: Andre Johnson/Reggie Wayne
TE: Owen Daniels/Dalls Clark
RB: Arian Foster/Ben Tate
DF: Top rated Defense

But, they probably won't pull the trigger. So if he is going to a team he visits, I think AZ with signings of Wayne and Pierre Garcon would be strong. But They also say he wants to play in the AFC, so take Wayne and Garcon to Denver who has a good defense, McGahee, and an easy division and he could have some success. But that cold weather.....

Dolphins just traded Brandon Marshall to the Bears. I wonder if its so they can add Wayne in with Manning? If thats not the reason, they certainly gave Manning a reason not to come.

Looks like its either Titans or Broncs.
