phone number blocking

I think you can call your service provider and have them block a specific number...

Or you can wait on the line past the automated stuff they talk about and see if there is something you can do to get put on their do not call list. Usually its as easy as hitting a 1 or 2.

That same number has been calling me about once a week for the past few weeks. I have also never answered.

If its on a cell phone I use the blacklist or Mr.number apps. They block calls and texts. Work pretty well since I had to test it on 94GC from this forum for texting me about shit he never buys.

Damnit those bastards called me this evening on my cell phone, I thought of this thread immediately lol.

I have a contact saved on my phone as "spam" whenever I get BS calls like that I save them to that contact and there is an option that allows you block that contact, just sends them straight to voicemail. That's for a HTC EVO though, not sure what kinda phone you got

This. You can do that on any Android phone

WSOC did a story on this, & "do not call list". FFC doesn't know how to stop this=New technology, has beat the system! Most calls i get are "Card member Services". I keep putting them on reject list, & now my phone is full, & wont take anymore! I also use the callers feature, of "do not call"! Wsoc & FCC, now says that is a trick! When you reply, or use option, they know they have a real person, & just call from another #!!!! NOW I know why the SAME calls, always come from a different #. Story's advice= ignore the calls, hang up.

What you can do depends on the phone you have (cell or house and what kind if cell) and what service you use.

I've not used a land-line in quite a while, but I'm sure if this is what you have, you could call your provider and have them block the number.

If you have Verizon (what I have) you can simply go online and put in the number. Verizon allows you to "temporarily" block up to 5 numbers without an extra charge. The block expires after 90 days and you just put the number back in again. For a fee of 4.99 you can add "Usage Controls" (I have this on my daughter's phone) and you can as many as you want and they don't expire.

As for other services and phones, you will need to look those up individually.
