Don't log into your Photobucket account! Apparently from what I just read it's been hacked. I logged on and my laptop was taken over. My antivirus software popped up and found no less than 8 viruses shortly thereafter that it could not remove. Now the computer won't even boot up so I am looking into it now but I thought I would try and save someone else the headache

If anyone ends up with the same problem and is running XP pro try restarting in safe mood, disable system restore, run a definition update for your antivirus then run another scan. It found the viruses again and deleted them this time and two I had to manually delete but so far so good (I think). What a pita.

TrendMicro, I was using FireFox if that makes a difference.

antispywareprolivescan.com is what all the popups said before it crashed and my TrendMicro alert came up. I did not click on anything but it still took over. I can put up the list of some of the viruses if anyone needs it.

i have no idea what you are talking about

(not on the laptop. this was seriously a photobucket thing, really I swear!)

from what the photobucket people said its fixed now. Apparently fomr reading some other forums they have been hacked before so make sure your virus software is up to date and turned on when using that site.
