Pic uploading help

Please help! I have never had problems with this before, but it is saying every pic I want to upload is too large. I have a Sony 4.1 megapixal camera. When I go to post a pic it says my file is too large. Can someone please help out with posting pics, or changing the size. I am using microsoft pic viewer and VGA format on my camera. Thanks for any help. Yes, I have paid the $3.50 fee to be able to post pics. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

You need to resize them... Try MicroSoft paint. Or photoshop if you have that.

Go to irfanview.com and download irvanview. Great free program. Then click the image tab and go to resize. The click on save as and resave it. Before you click save, there's a little window that pops up on the side for pic quality. Move it down to 75% May have to go lower depending on size of pic. I just type in 600 pixels across and leave the aspect ratio the same. Your camera takes such a high quality picture that it's a lot of info to upload. You won't notice any pic quality difference on your screen. Hope this helps.
