Terrible deal. For reference, I've got an 04 avalanche 5.3 4x4. Currently around 162k. Bought at 136k for $8500. Water pump, battery, alternator, fuel pump, and unit bearings. In the FB truck, 4l60e is probably barely hanging on and that clunking Gov-bomb locker could splatter the rear anytime. To be fair, if all the problems had been fixed, it might be a $13k truck.
 
What’s he looking for? I’ve got a 01 Chevy 2500 with the 8.1 motor and Allison transmission I’m gonna be selling soon. Had a brake line develop a pin hole leak so I’m gonna replace the line....bought from a member here back in March/April. It’s 2wd and isn’t pretty but it’s a solid truck.
 
Not to beat a dead horse but I look at the little things. I.E. the interior. Looks spotless and well taken care of but look at the top of the tekonsha brake controller. Looks like dust and food crumbs have been collected since 1973. Someone is polishing a turd.

The fact that it has a brake controller is not really a good sign. And an old one. Has it been worked hard for years?

from the links he has sent me...a 1/2 ton Chevy/Gmc or dodge. 4 door 4wd. Only thing he tows is a 2-3k lb boat.

I suggested looking at some exoboost trucks (because turbo). But he doesn’t like fords.

he’s not in a giant hurry.

And apparently he has a hard on for a lifted truck now, because all the other trucks he sent me (and I rejected) were stock, last 3 have all been lifted.
