pictures will not upload

When I try to upload my pics it says the file is too big. Itook the pictures with a Canon Powershot A85 and loaded them onto our I-Mac. Any Ideas how to correct this?

You need to resize them, but I don't know what you would use for a mac.

You could google for "gimp". It might be ported to the mac.

picture size

I have resized the pictures. They still will not upload. I e-mailed them to a graphic design friend just to check and the one i sent is very small, only 4k. Any more ideas. I had no trouble with the old site and my old sony digital camera. I don't know if it is a camera or site issue. Trent
