pinks allout at the rock - April 20-21, 2007

Is the "lose the race, lose your ride" thing for real, or just for TV?

im supposed to go with my buddies who are running in the competition. they are suppsed to be fielding three cars in the competition.

my old red 86 mustang gt will be there. a friend of mine owns it now. expect it to go mid to low 8's in the quarter.

just an fyi but this was open to 100 pre-registered people... no invitations, no hoping to get choosen.. from what i hear

someone told you wrong... It's 300 people (probably pre registered) that run 12.99 or faster..

Rich Christensen and Team PINKS will select 16 killer racers from ALL OUT Qualifying to compete for $10,000 CASH and a $7,000 fully-loaded tool chest from NAPA in a Heads-Up, Run-What-Ya-Brung, Let's-Get-Ugly, Shootout, Showdown!
Rich might pick a group of 9's, 10's, 11's, or 12's! You never know... But you got to be in it to win it!
You know the deal... you get two passes, no negotiating, and if you sandbag at all you're going home. Remember, you gotta be running ALL OUT!

anyone is welcome to try... but it needs to be 12's or faster. After qualifying they pick 16 cars from a time bracket ( best for tv and I'm going to guess 10's or 11's) to run on tv...

According to the Rockingham Dragway site the Pinks deal was on April 6-7.

yep... i believe 10.5 was the chosen time for the 16 tv cars... Buddy of mine in his 93cobra ran 10.3 consistantly at 138 or so..... He said he should have sandbagged like most guys were doing.....

one of the cars my friends ran made the 16 fastest. it is a green fox body capri with white rallies. ran 10.3s too. he didnt win but got an interview and some camera time. funny thing is this car was set up for 1/8 mile.
