my 2000 super duty. Just had the gearbox replaced and it drives tons better but still not perfect. It is 8" lift and we noticed whoever done it, put the stock pitman arm back on. Will it make any difference to put a longer pitman arm on for a 6-10" lift???

will that make a difference?

it will help keep the tie rod ends at the propor working angles.

and who the hell swaped the box and didnt reuse your old arm ?

all the years i have swaped boxes unless used reinstalled i have to swap the arm over. and even then i still reuse there old arm.

i would go back and demand your arm.

and then it will not afect your main toe setting on the alignment when swaped out. on the fords the upper link to the steering arm only sets the steering wheel left or right from center. few min on a road test will fix that much cheeper than alignment when thats all thay will do.

no, i mean whoever done the LIFT. Truck has been around between me and my buddy for 2 years and we didnt realize the stock pitman arm was still on there until we swapped the gearbox.

Will it drive any different with a lower arm or just help keep everything aligned properly?

mabye a tiny bit.

oh ya some ford lift kits dont give a arm. thay give a longer center adjusting sleave to take up the slack.
