With my highsteer set up on the D60, the pitman arm wants to contact the tie rod when hitting jumps and suspension is under full compression on both sides. Anyone know of a pitman arm that will work on a stock XJ steering box with less drop than the stock pitman arm? Thanks in advance. Greg

How much drop is in the arm right now, Greg?

I am using GM DLE's on it now so it's been "opened up" a bit already. I would have to get another arm to try what you suggested LEE, that being the case I'd rather just get another arm with less drop, but that's not a bad idea you had.
Rich, I don't have it at my shop right now to measure but I'd guess 2 to 3 inches. I'd like to get one that was just flat, with no drop.

I've got a waggy arm I was going to use, but can't.. it's 7" hole to hole, about 1/2 - 3/4" drop total..

That might work for you, mine's already reamed for a 1-ton DLE. (bottom up)

FYI, I use an XJ arm on my TJ because I need the drop. A TJ/YJ arm is a direct bolt on that will provide about 1" less drop. That being said, I sold both the ones I had. Sorry.

You could always remove the pitman arm and draglink entirely and replace them with Hydro hoses! Its street days are almost over anyways right? :huggy:

Greg, YJ or TJ arm will bolt right on. They will have about 1.5" less drop than an XJ arm. A Waggy arm will be nearly flat as mentioned earlier.

greg, i run a waggy arm on my yj box because i had the same problem on my half-jeep. it was a bolt on. also created more steering due to more length.
