I have recieved a job offer just outside of Wilmington and it looks like I will be re-locating there from Greensboro in the next month or so. People in wilmington where do you recommend looking for an appartment? would rather rent an appartment/condo for a little bit before looking for a place to buy. Any help is appreciated.

Thanks,

Fred

where did you get the job is important. If it is toward Ogden then I would live up there. If it is in Leland I wouldn't live IN wilmington. Lot depends on your job. Traffic is kinda bad, personally I would live near the college. That's where the girls are, but if you aren't worried about that. I would live sorta close to your job. New Hanover county isn't that big, but if you want to drive end to end it take a while.

X2. If your working the northside live on the northside ect. I live on the southside but live if I'm working in Pender county it takes me 45 minutes or so to get to work. Due to my hours though I miss all the traffic so it's a tossup for me. If your going to work between 6 and 7 am traffic mostly isnt an issue. It tends to let up around 830 if that helps.

I have the perfect place for you.. its a friend of mine's that he needs to sublease to have the chance to get a job elsewhere... looking for someone to take over pretty quick, and I think the lease lasts til July.... If your interested, i'll forward you his info

Well the office is actually up 421 in Currie. It took us 30 min to get to the river front for lunch the other day. Everyone at the office recommended living either by the college or down town. Just looking a decent area to start with and I am fine with a 30 - 45 min drive.

thanks,

Fred

Main problem will be when traffic backs up bad at the memorial bridge heading into or out of leland which will put a damper on trying to get to the 421 exit. Your only other alternate route will be the smaller bridge farther down accessable from the northen side from downtown. Easier to get to if your in the college area since all you have to do is go down smith creek prky now known as martin luther king hwy
