I need some plastic inserts/caps to go into the end of 2" square tubing.
Only need a few. Where can you get these? All the places I find online sell by the snotload (for manufacturing).

that's an interesting possibility.
Oh wait, that will be 2" ID, right? This is OD. it's 3/16 wall so ID would be 1 5/8".

lowes/hd has cap inserts and cap covers, not sure if they go that big.. but they are cheep. IRRC near the brass hinge, drawer knob and junk area...

Are you building some cool bumpers for the $30xj?

Not yet... That would involve buying steel, which isn't cheap. May hit scrapyard this weekend to see what I can find though.

I've made some rear rocker panel gaurds for my 4Runner out of 2" square tubing (rounded corners), 3/16" wall. The ends are open right now, face the rear (bolted to but offset from the bumper). I'm thinking of mounting some reflectors on the end, mayeb even slipping some lights in there.
I just want a little plastic cap to pop into the end of the tube so it isn't an open hole... I could then easily fasten/cut/drill whatever onto this if it's made of plastic.
I could just weld a plate on and grind it down seemless, but (a) that's more work and (b) I was thinking it might be nice to be able to get inside the tube later if I do want to wirre something in there.

For a typical end-cap insert, it's kind of a funny size, since ID is only 1 5/8". Typically those things are for thin-wall tubing, like chairs and stuff.
