Plumbing question

There wasn't any digging to the leak I had it completely dug up.
I meant when YOU were digging. E.g. somebody was disturbing the dirt around the pipe when it had a hole in it. *maybe* (who knows) that's when some dirt got into the line.

It's all irrelevant now b/c you got it, but it's clear to me the water guy didn't complete his job.

I don't know where Clyde is in NC but for $2k I could travel the whole state to replace 60-80 foot of waterline.
I ran 200' off my new meter to the house on a house I bought a couple weeks ago. I trenched, tied into meter, layed pipe, filled trench, seeded, and strawed in about 2-1/2 hrs. I had about $125 in materials.
That would be about a $500 job.

From your house make a "Right turn Clyde" on 40. Near the State line on 40W. :p
