When I got my 4Runner, the carpet was interior carpet.
I mean, like what you'd have in your living room. Padding and all.
No kidding. I bought a parts car with a white paper bag in the glove box that had a pair of apparently new/clean panties and a handfull of 12 ga shotgun shells in it. I have no idea what that was about...
Lemme guess you bought it from a widow?I bought a truck one time that had been sitting for about 20 years. The only reason I wanted it was the seat was pefect and I need one in my DD that a car seat wouldn't fall through. The only problem was the red seat and had faded to a pefect shade of pink so I bought a seat cover to cover it up. When I removed the back of the seat to tie of the pull strings I found a envelope with a note in it that said " If your reading this the crazy bit@$ has killed me. I can't trust her but am afraid to leave her. Please give this to the police and they will know what to do." Pretty Creepy
Successfully got rid of evidence?Had the serial number ran everything was clean. Who knows why the PO put it there..
My Dad bought a 94 Toyota to fix up. He removed the passenger door panel and found a pistol grip shotgun wrapped in insulation tucked down in the bottom of the door skin. It had been in there for a while, it was all pitted and the action wouldn't work.

Wow. Only reason someone would go to that much trouble to hide a gun is if they had done something with it that they shouldn't have. Kind of creepy.
Or he didnt want to lose it in a divorce maybe?
