Ok guys weird question. I have a project I'm working on and basically I need a rod or a piece of conduit to stick 3-4' out of the ground and atleast 12" into the ground. A stick of conduit would work but I need a pointed tip like a ground rod to get into the ground. Ideas? Ground rod would be great but copper=$$ these days and looking for ease to bend, weld, etc. Sorry should have mentioned 1/2" diameter under preferred

Rebar and a sledge hammer? Whats the project to accomplish?

basically making a stand that I can put in the ground but it need to have a polished look. Thats the only reason I wouldn't just beat a piece of emt into the ground. I was really hoping to find something like the tips on beach umbrellas

if you have kids...please put something over top of it...I'm in the electrical field and just recently had a report of a kid falling into a ground rod that was left exposed...seriously injured...just looking out

but what you need to do is go to a supply house and tell 'em you want a 6' ground rod

yea I know I worked as an electrician for years. There will actually be a stand welded to the top on the rod. Thats why I was hoping to use like 1/2"-3/4" emt so if anyone fell on it there would be a greater chance of it bending.
