Some friends turned me on to this game and it's a lot of fun. Drive some 2" PVC SDR thin walled pipes at least 30 ft apart and 5 or 6' high, sawing a sharp angle on the ground end helps to pound them in w a 2x4 and a hammer, be sure to level them as you go. You set empty beer bottles on top of the pipes, pick teams and take turns throwing a Frisbee to knock the other teams bottle off the pipe. There are rules online but we made our own rules, hitting the bottle is 2 points, the pipe 1, not catching the bottle or frisbee is a point each for the throwing team and we play to 21. We also have a rule that each player must have a beer or beverage of choice in one hand at all times while playing. We started w bottles wrapped in ductape for safety, but switched to the 16oz aluminum Bud bottles that seem to be easier to catch. It is alot of fun and safer than real Horseshoes if younguns are runnin all over the backyard. Be sure to use a real Frisbee Disc, the cheap, harder, heavy ones don't float well and cause injuries to fingertips and faces etc. because you have to throw them harder.

Why is this a "polish" game?

We always play 2pts for dropping the bottle, 1 pt for dropping or not catching the frisbee if it is deemed "catchable". You have to catch behind the pole and it needs to be above the knee at the pole.

With kiddos you can also use some empty water bottles with a few rocks in them.

This game will get you pretty good at putting in disc golf too.

I keep poles and a frisbee in my truck at all time lol.

Damn if I know, it was introduced to my friends by their friends visiting from Kentucky and that's what they called it. My wife's Polish and takes no offense, she loves to play also.

Wait, so is it Polish like people from Poland? Or "polish" like polish a turd?

If its the latter, I'm offended.

Sounds cool, I used to always keep a frisbee to throw around but its been years. I like any game that involves drinking cold beer.

You must be Polish.

Whether I have a slavic heritage or not is irrelevant.

Was simply curious to why it's called that. Jokes/games that have the "polish" in the name are usually silly, stupid many times both. I see nothing stupid about this, infact I think it's pretty intelligent & resourceful creation from normal things lying around nearly everybodies home. Hence the reasoning behind my question.
