I know it's not a 4x4, but it was different to work on, people said I was losing what little off road credibility I have with it in my garage. Porsche GT3 that races in the NASA Series;

Cut the doors out, cut crash bars out, owner wanted the door bars as far out as possible. (Owner didn't like the idea off a car hitting him with them 2' away from his leg, plus rules state you have to be able to get out of the car within 10 seconds with the HANs on). All out of 1 3/4" .120 wall chrome moly. Got them a ty wraps width off of the outer skin.
Made the seat cradle, cut floor pan out, lowered pan/seat in the car and made computer mount.
Did lots of other little odds and ends to it while I had it also.

Thing sounds clean 5-8K RPM.

Nice work. So two feet wasn't enough room for the driver?:rolleyes:

Very Impressive!

Well? How does it drive? :driver:

if you can have two and a half, then no, it isn't...

Saw a video of an American Iron Camaro that blew a brake line and went off track at 140-ish.. an excellent cage let him walk away without ANY injury at all, even after doing a double endo when he nailed the wall.

^^^^ Yeah, I hear that's the fastest car/ship in the galaxy

Guess your sarcasm detector is malfunctioning today.:shaking:

Sweet ride...GTS4 - that's a fast one...(jealousy/drooling over here)

Great looking work, amazing looking car... I wish I had the coin to race one of those lol.

It's not my car, I meant 2" of room prior, oops my bad. Owner did say he placed 1st & 2nd this past weekend in his races.
He said he hits around/above the 150's on the road Atlanta course and the road course at Charlotte motor speedway on the banked section? He said Vette's kill him on the starightaways, Porsches make up for it in braking and the turns.
Sort'a weird having a car in my garage that was worth more than my garage, my tools, my welders and some of my house.

And even more weird that the owner is willing to take it home in a bunch of little boxes, following race rule #2: "Never put anything onto the track you're not willing to take home in a box"

(Rule #1 being: "Never race your own junk when you can race someone else's")
