A buddy of mine at works rides out there quite a bit. Says it's a nice easy ride but fun. I'm on call for EMS but will know that morning if I'm working or not, so if not we're gonna ride out there and check it out. Shoot me a PM if you're interested in going.

Hopefully I can't get the Cherokee fixed. I would really like to check this place out.

Hurricane Creek is a nice easy ride, theres a couple rough sections but nothing major. As soon as you see the Harmon Den exit sign get on the shoulder of the road and turn behind the guardrail,if you've never been there part of the trail is on private land so take it easy till you pass the cabins. At the first trail split stay left and at the second trail split stay right and it'll take you to the top of the mountain,it's about six miles from the interstate to the main gravel road at the top.Be safe and have fun.

Thanks for the info tsouther! If anyone wants to go, PM me your number and I'll give ya a call if I don't have to work. I'll probably leave Asheville about 10am if I'm going, we can meet up for breakfast or something.

It is a nice ride, wish I could make it. I went about a week ago and the trail is in good shape, a little overgrown in places, but our HUMMERs had no issue making it through.

nice easy ride unless there is 18in of snow on it, that makes it fun. there is another trail on the other side of 40 but better have somone thats been there b4 with you on it. we done a trail clean up back in the early part of spring on it, and it was over grown then, prob gona do another one in the fall. have a good time wish i caould make it.

Booooo:(

Love that trail. It is a good ride for beginners & enough to not be boring to others. I can only do Saturdays or I would be there. As Ryan said it is easy unless alot of snow is on the ground like the first time he & I rode together but it was alot of fun with the snow & ice!!!!

I'm going today! Hit me up at (336) 870-4660 if you wanna go, I'll be leaving Asheville around 11 this morning, sorry such short notice.

Sorry I missed you, but we had some prior plans...

Wow. I'm guessing I should not go alone. Did you get some pics?
