It seems like every add where someone is selling a nice vehicle there is no pics.. They will only email them upon request...just post the d@#m pics..that :poop: burns me up..

Sorry..had to get that off my chest

I agree... Its like they say "I have this bad ass ride for sale" then when they send you pics its a peice of :poop:

Many boards require pics, some even require a pic of the item including your screenname and the date. That is pretty extreme, but it eliminates the possibility of most scams (e.g. no way to post unlessy ou actually have it).
That's a huge PITA, but IMO for vehicles at least it should be required IMO.

I think it should be mandatory that you post pics along with the price. Just my .02

I thought it would be common sense...its more likely to sell if there's a picture. In Autotrader, people actually pay more to add a pic.

I think that it would good to have that rule for vehicles. I don't really think it should be mandatory that we post pics of parts.....

I attribute no pics to people too cheap to shell out the $5.50 for the privilege to post them. 9 times out of 10 the people with no pics have no diamond either.

I gots me one of them dimmons

hell you dont even need a diamond, just a free photobucket account.

Personally I attrivute it to being too tazy to take the pics off the camera. I know that's my problem ;-)

Of course an Eye-Fi card solves that, those things are awesome.

I, for one, would rather strongly encourage people to post pics and make sure there is an easy to follow tutorial for those who don't currently know how. The old teach a man to fish mantra.

While it might be easy for most of us, there was a time for everyone here when we did not own a digital camera, know how to upload to the internet, or know how to use bb code. Don't take that for granted just because you have personally picked up those skills.

If I'm a serious buyer and someone posts an ad for the vehicle I'm looking for I probably won't mind driving to see it as long as it is local. Sure there will be non-local vehicles that I'd consider buying if I could see pics, but I'd rather see the ad and decide it's not worth the drive than to never see it at all.

That's my 2 cents.

agreed - it would be a good rule to require pics for vehicles for sale. the only reason for not doing it is laziness. i'm sure anyone who wanted (except maybe mr. scrooge) could find some neighbor/friend/family member to show them how to upload pics if they don't know how.

Ive gots to get me one of them diamonds

Did they change that? It seemed like when I joined it wouldn't let me post pics. That was the initial reason I paid my $5.50, so I could post pics in my sale threads.

No pics posted in FS ad = Slacker

What if the guy's camera is broke? What if he is not as internet savy as all you guys on here?

I'll bet some folks are just lazy, but I dought that everyone that has posted a for sale add knows hows to hot link. Some folks may not have pay-pal to send the 5.50 to get that fancy diamond. Some may not have an extra 5.50 to let go of. Thats probably why their trying to sell their stuff off.

Maybe it would be a good idea for someone to do a write-up on how to post pictures in a FS ad and then sticky it in each section of the classifieds?! Just an idea..

you can post pics without the diamond if i remember correctly. and if you dont have a diamond photobucket works for anything.

and i dont mind cell phone pics at least they have pics. plus many cell phones have nice cameras. my old omnia had a 5.0 mp camera compared o my moms $150 kodak that had a 6.0 mp
