posting to notify about a new club

i know i'm a noob, but i'm here to look for members for a new 4x4 club. it's being sponsored by rick hendrick toyota of fayetteville.

so.....the plan is to get any/all forms of toyota 4x4/lifted trucks + other makes of vehivles as well.

we as a group will come up w/ a suitable name and sticker size/look....

wants to possibly take some trucks to a BIG and costly show in July for no cost to us.

we'll get dealer costs + 10% off that from 4WP. also get deals for stock parts and accessories from RHT. he said that if we see something from a large box company, he may be able to get those at a deal as well.

he said they can bring out vehicles to meets, as well as pay for food, site fees, trail fees, and other things for any club meets. he said they have a fairly descent budget for these types of things.

the more people we can get to these events...we can get raffles and drawings for parts, etc. to be ironed out later.

there are also some other super secret plannings in the works by RHT that will be pretty pimp for them and 'us' as a club.

When is this going to come about I may be interested in it.
 
well right now we have a meeting saturday night, jan 31st @ 8pm at rick hendrick. its just going to be a small get together for some free food, see who all we've talked to by then, and see what all we want to do w/ this club. the first event we have planned is april 17-19 @ URE. if you know of anyone else that might be interested, please let them and me know.

ummmm,doesn't Hendricks have a jeep dealership and a club allready based out of it? I think alot of the Carolina Jeepsters are or were in it.

i'm not sure about the jeep dealer...the rick hendrick toyota in fayetteville currently has a scion club and is now starting a 4x4 club
 
slightly interested......i would think if he is really interested he would join here (since this is the biggest 4x4 site in nc).


sounds like a good deal. let's see how it turns out.

well i'm acting more as the recruiter and they are doing the backing. i'm on here, ncttora, ttora, toyotanation, and tacomaworld. so far the most hits i have is from tacomaworld b/c i've been there for almost 2 years now i think. but i think this will be a good club to meet up and BS, not to mention having the backing fro mthe dealership to pay for food, sites, trail fees, discounts on parts, and getting free swag from meetup raffles and all

you dont have to bring a vehicle to this....just discussion about the club, future meets, and direction of the club.


but to everyone else.....

sounds great man. i'm looking to see 7 total so far, plus whoever else the dealership got a hold of. i have other people interested in the club, but will not be able to make the local meets as they are in SC and TN

Jimmy how are you man. We do have the Jeep club at the Jeep store.

well we had a pretty good turn out for the first night. all in all, we had 9 ppl show up w/ about 10 that were not able but are wanting to do the club thing.

hey i work for honda cars of hickory , its a hendrick dealership also. i just bought a 85 toyota im building , sounds like a good idea, to bad i live so far away. when you say "HE" are you talkin bout rick hendrick, cause in the 7 years i have only seen him on special occasions. is rick backin this or your general manager ? not trying to bash , just lookin for some info. i will be at ure with some people from our dealership , 3 jeeps , a mitzu montero and my toyota. they have never been wheelin , so i decided to take them out for the day.

the "he" is the connection to the local dealer, not hendrick himself. when are u guys going? will be there 17-19 april
 
Hey man sounds cool,Im in goldsboro so could make it down but going to be gone this weekend.I will try to make it to ure that weekend,yall should put that meet back a week im taking leave for the first 2 weeks of april and Im going to be down at ure most of that time!Since Im going to be gone to the desert all summer!lol!

no probs man. i've got it that weekend since i'll be doing natl guard time TONS between now and june. a nice thing is that my guard unit is about 15 mins from the trails at URE...lol.

if anyone else is interested in joining the club and/or the URE and other meets, send me a PM w/ name and email addy and i'll put yall on the distro for the club.

in case anyone else is interested, we're having montly meets on the 3rd saturday at 8pm at hendrick toyota. also having the URE meet april 17-19 if anyone is interested in that.
