My wall outlet in the garage is a 220v. The new welder I just bought is a 250v plug. Does anyone know if they make a step up adapter for this. I checked Lowes, Home Depot, and a couple of appliance stores here in town but nobody has one.

You have to change either the plug or thee receptacle.
It is just a different configuration, the plug is rated UP TO 250V...it will work on 220V just fine.

If you change the wall receptacle of course disconnect power and make sure no one turns it back on while you work.....but of course you need to call a licensed electrician...

There is no adapt a kit for outlets...if there was I could see them 4 deep now.
