2005 Caravan is very low on PS fluid, owners manual calls for Mopar ATF+4.
I have a few old bottles (sealed) of Havoline Chrysler ATF+3 in the garage...think I'll be alright?

topped it off earlier in the week with the ATF+3, wife said it sounds way better. It was howling like crazy before, hope it didnt do to much damage.

Im not sure the difference, but PSC says you can run ATF+4 in their hydro set ups but no other ATF (including ATF+3).....now they do not recommend any of it, but they say the ATF+4 will not damage it.... SO I wonder if there is a difference?

Considering that the internal wear parts of a psc non-$1000 pump are mostly the same as a reman autozone pump and considering the fact that plenty of people run hydraulic fluid, atf, ps fluid, etc through their psc systems with good success...I'd certainly take all of that with a grain of salt. It is afterall just a rotary vane pump and saginaw/delco/etc haven't really done anything new with the standard belt drive pumps in decades besides add bearings.

I agree...mor epointing out the fact that someone there at least thinks there is a difference.

Yeah i just wonder how they come up with some of this stuff. If it's not just "well hell, that setup didnt squeel running that fluid...go with it"
