My <2 yr old daughter goes a very small child care. There is one other little girl, slightly older, who is her little friend named Rose. Yesterday Rose had an asthma attack so severe that she had to go to the hospital. Her condition has not improved, in fact earlier today she was blue. As I type this she is being placed in life support. I cannot imagine the distress the single parent mother is going through.

Please offer prayers however you know best for baby Rose.

I just got an update from my wife. Rose is still listed in critical condition, however her condition has stabilized. They plan to keep her for 10 more days and then allow her to leave her room and breathe ambient air in the hospital. If all of this goes well she will remain on an oxygen tank for the summer.

Rose was born premature and apparently the infection and breathing complications are a result of that. Docs said this could continue for several more years until roughly age 5.

My daughter got to child care today and was walking around saying Rose while looking around. With continued prayers hopefully they will be playing together soon.
 
man I hope she gets well soon!! I was telling my wife about it last nite while we were watching my little girl play and I misted up tryin to tell her the story, somthing like this hits so close to home!! Thank you for the update!!

I don't get regular updates, but my wife just informed me of Rose's status.

She is improving and will likely be able to leave the hospital by weeks end. The lack of oxygen did not harm her heart or brain. There may be some damage to here lungs however. It looks like she will be able to do normal things and return to child care and play with my daughter soon. There is a high possibility that she will have to be on supplemental oxygen for most of the summer if not year.
