Prayers needed please

Last night my fire department was dispatched to a wreck, car vs ATV. The ATV was a Polaris Ranger belonging to one of our firefighters, and himself and another one of ours was riding when they were struck by a car. The ATV flipped numerous time and ejected both riders. One suffered minor injuries, but the other is not as fortunate. He is currently in an induced coma with swelling on the brain of 35%. The surgeons cannot operate until the swelling is below 20, and they have informed his wife she might have to make a decision.

Please keep Andrew Johnson and all of the Archer Lodge Fire Dept. and family in your prayers today.

Damn, sorry to hear of this. He's on our list.

That's a hard response call when it's one of your own guys. Been there twice back in my day. You guys keep an eye on each other.

Just got back from the hospital. A CT scan showed half his brain is mush (nice doctor term there) and theres no activity in the other half. They changed his drugs while I was there and are waiting on some more family to get in from Massachusettes, and unless there is some significant change in the next few hours his wife will have him taken off life support. Hes not done for yet, but hes really damn close. Thanks for the prayers thus far.

Man, I was wondering, saw the traffic backed up last night, and drove thru the site/scene this AM, didn't know the who's or how's till I got home tonight.
