I had a brake line blow out on my Ram as I pulled into the Northern Tool parking lot last Saturday morning. It is one of the metal lines off the MC. There are seven lines in this tight small area. Five of them are rusty and should be replaced. I found a kit on Ebay for every metal brake line on the truck, but I don't need every line. I really don't feel like trying to bend all of these short lines in this tight area. Where have you guys bought your pre bent metal brake lines?

Edit: Crap, I meant to put this in General Tech. Sorry

Moved it for ya.

Braided an option?

Those things are crusty... Interesting mix of corroded and non-corroded in the same area, obviously have different surface treatments.

There are places out there that will do braided stainless hoses for nearly the same money as hard lines.
I think each has their advantages. I am just not good enough with a brake line tool to make hard lines worth a crap. Ive tried. I can get by with a few offsets and such but as far as making spiral loops I destroy too much tube.

I'd rather have hard lines for as long a distance as possible on the chassis. The expansion in a braided line can really start to kill braking feel if the lines are any significant length.

I bend all my lines by hand, screw the bender tools. Inline flare tools rock. Advance carries one for 3/16 IF but no other sizes. Perfect flares every time. NiCopp is awesome stuff. Cheaper than buying length with fittings on it. Only takes a minute to bend it up too.

I ended up ordering a 'pre-bent SS front brake line kit' from LMC truck. $100 for all pre-bent SS metal brake lines on the front half of the truck.
