predator carbs

I have one, ran it an took it off....its actually not really an offroad carb, they are made for drag racing and they are.big.....smallest you can get em down to( changing the internal cams) is 930 cfm....with my mild built 350 it was way too much fuel.....other than runnin rich as hell, when on the throttle damn thing ran like a sob. I think firetoy ran one on one of his buggies(this one actually)

i know of at least 2 bdb members that are running them and they are quite impressive for a carb. i have been looking for a predator 6000 but im not willing to pay the crazy price that people want for them used. they do better as a balls out carb than a fine tuned well mannered street carb that idles at 700rpm. however steep angles and sloshing around doesnt have any serious effect on them.

They make 2 versions. The street one is the only one with an idle circut in it. They are fat and nasty at part throttle. I threw one as far as I could out in the woods behind the shop. You can have it if you can find it. They had some success in monster trucks and drag racing back in the day. I went with a worked QJet and never looked back.
