Argh. One thing I hate more than anything is Android automatic updates.
Just coming when they want and giving you no choice to not doo it.
So my S7 notified me it was going to update to Nougat (Android 7). No option to "cancel, no don't do it." Just "Do it now, or later". And by "later" it's tomorrow.
I avoided it by restarting the phone, which just put the notice in the system tray.
Is there any way to put it off indefinitely?
Yes, I know eventually I'll want to do it, but my experience is that every release has issues that take awhile to work out. I'd rather just stay w/ Marshmallow for now.
The bigger problem is in 2 days I'm going backpacking and will need my phone to work reliably for GPS tracking etc, and I can't afford to have the battery draining quickly, as seems to happen to some random subset of users.
