i know there a few on here that know alot more about these cars than me. im looking at a 71 chevelle malibu that i found down the road. 71 malibu 2door, 350,auto,rust in both fornt bottom fenders, needs rear quarters also and front windshield. stright bidy lines otherwise. also the rest of the glass is good along with interior is all there. no title at the moment. wondering what a good price on this would be thanks
 
sounds like it needs quite a bit. How does it run, what tranny does it have, does it have power steering? power brakes? disc or drum? what rear end? how are the floor pans and trunk pan? inner wheel well for the rear wheels...make sure its not a rust bucket. What's the area like behind the rear window?
 
rear windows in good shape. will need overhaul on rear axle..pretty sure its the weaker 10bolt. dosnt run condition of trans unknow. not a rust bucket but needs some quarter repair.
 
UNLESS IT RUNS AND DRIVES, in all honesty...no more than $500. Malibu was nothing more than a plain jane Chevelle. And I'm sure it's got more rust through than you can see.
 
$500, thats what I sold my '70 Chevelle for in 1989. It was a major rust bucket, having lived its entire life in the snowzone. 300hp 4bbl 350 with the muncie 4 speed. I think it had a 12bolt rear, but I could be wrong. Someone forgot to tell it that it was "only" a Malibu :shaking:
