ok, so Ive got a lot of land down in Rocky Mount that we timbered 15 years ago and then set out hybrid pines for the whole pulpwood thing. well we did our first thin last spring and man it was cool as hell :huggy:. THEN it started growing up and now the vastness of the new jeep trails and shooting lanes grew up . what I want to do is hire a dozer to go in and push up the stumps in choice areas such that I can get my bushhog in there to keep them clear :bounce2:. anybody that has been on a pine-thinned plantation knows how weird it is to have all of those perfectly placed stumps (punji sticks) just waiting to fawk your stuff up. considering these are all Ø6~8" stumps sticking out about 8" in what is essentially pure sand every 12', I want to clear 10 or 15, 200 yard long lanes- as there are still rows of trees standing inbetween these lanes. then push the stumps to the side for rabbit/bobwhite thickets , and then smooth it all over. is this gonna cost me out the azz? and no, you CANT hunt there if you do it for the price of diesel  haha

haha, thats looks as obnoxious as I wanted it to...
