problems with the rear diff

I've never seen it in yellow, when I set up my gears in my 8.8, what I used was blue. I think it is called "bluing compound". It allows you to see where the pinion gear contact the ring gear. This is important in setting up gears. And if you find that the contact pattern is not right the first time, clean all the bluing compound off the teeth before doing it again, otherwise you may not notice any changes.
 
Forgot to mention, I guess it could be any color, I'm just saying what you find in the store may or may not be yellow.
