Started the tear down today!

Started the tear down today, its been a long day. Started at 8am with the tear down of my 85 Toyota 4Runner putting a procomp 4" lift kit under it. Tear down of the front suspension was pretty much ok had to use a 3/4in inpact wrench on afew nuts and bolts that were rusted tight. Had to use a 5lb. sledge a few times to. The old spring were the wrost thing to work on i didnt think I would ever get them off I pryed, I beat, until they finally broke lose. got most of everything finished with the tear down at 4pm. then work called me in. So everything is on hold until sunday morning when i get off work. If to much doesnt go wrong hope to be finish tomorrow. Been taken pics I'll let you see them when i get a chance back to work.

Sunday's working on my lift

Got the springs off, put the new springs in with new poly bushing, used the the stock spring hangers. Came up short on a few things 1)front drive shaft came up short, had to disconnet the front drive shaft so we come slide the axle up in place of the spring. 2)torque rod came up short to. So far thats all that has come up short. finished for today have the shocks and brake lines to do to the front and all of the rear to do. Wanted to see what the front will look like so we put on the 33x12.50 wild country tires i have. Man does it look great I couldn't believe how much lift I got. Can't wait to finish it all its going to look great.:gitrdun:

Yea man those rims i got from you are going to look good. I just slaped those two with the tires on them up there to just see what it would look like looks sweet man!

Sunday - 9 days into lift

I've been fighting this lift, ran into a lot of problems the weds. so much so had to pull out the hot wrench. The rear springs gave me alot problem with the front spring hangers. For all i tryed could not break the nuts lose on the front spring hangers. Got so fed up ppulled out the the sawall went to work on the bolts and nuts. Doin good untill i burn the sawall up. Heck with this pulled the hot wrench out.("lets see how tough the bolts are now"). Had to cut the rear shackle bolt so i had to go buy new shackles. Fri. Finished up everything on the rear springs, shocks, and brake lines. Sunday-Worked on the front all i've got to is bleed all the brake lines. I'm so ready to get this lift build done can't wait to get the 4runner back on the road.
